Iran’s Esfahan Steel Company Issues 20,000 MT Billet Export Tender

Esfahan steel company (ESCO), one of the largest exporter of Steel in Iran has invited tender for export of 20,000 MT billet for February 2018 shipment with 25% prepayment. The steel billet offered is of size 130*130 mm/or 150*150 mm/or 200*200 mm and of grade 3 SP, 5 SP or customer’s specification if ESCO confirms. Bid submission due date for the same is 6 Dec’17.

As per market sources, “ESCO is expecting a target price at around USD 475/MT FOB. “Last week Iran domestic billet offers were hovering at around USD 451-455/MT.

ESCO has exported around 750,000 MT of steel in first eight months of current Persian year (23 Oct-21 Nov’17), registered a growth of around 85% Y-o-Y.
CEO of Esfahan steel company, Mr. Ahmad Sadeghi has announced “Our goal is to pass 1 MnT of exports, the company exports has increased 85% from beginning of this year as compared to last year. Steel products are now exported to four continents.”

Indian Steel Maker Concludes 15,000 MT Billet Export Tender
Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), also known as Vizag Steel had issued a tender for export of 15,000 MT billet (90*90mm, 12 metres in length) for material delivery scheduled up to 31 Dec’17.
The material offered was of size 90*90mm (IS 2830 C20MMn Gr.A) having chemical composition as follows: C: 0.17-0.23%, Mn : 0.6-1%, Si: 0.15-0.35% max, P: 0.045% max and S: 0.05% max. The due date for bid submission was 11:00 am IST on 29 Nov’17.
