>> The Supreme Court of India has requested all the states in the country to ban Petcoke and Furnace Oil usage. The request came soon after the court banning the fuels in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan with effect from 15Nov’17. Earlier, the court had banned the fuels in Delhi/NCR with effect from 1Nov’17.
>> State-run Coal India Limited (CIL) is heard to be considering hiking its coal prices after the 20% rise in salaries for its employees.
>> Tightness in spot supply might lift Coking Coal prices higher in Australia. According to the latest inputs received, there was limited availability of the coal cargoes, and market participants speculated further increment in the price. Spot price of the Premium HCC was last assessed at around USD 189.25/MT FoB Australia.
