Major mills in China like Baosteel and Wuhan Steel have kept their flat steel prices unaltered since last two consecutive months in the midst of production cut and falling export volumes from China.
Baosteel has kept HRC,HR plates,CRC and HDG (Hot Dip Galvanized) coil prices unchanged for December deliveries.
The effective rates for HRC ( Q235 5.5mm, ) are heard to be at RMB 4,872/MT (USD 733/MT),Q235 plates is at RMB 3,900/MT(USD 587/MT),CRC (1.0mm, SPCC) is at RMB 5,036/MT (USD 758/MT).Whereas HDG coil (1.0mm,DX51D+Z) is at RMB 5,767/MT (USD 868/MT). All prices are on ex-works basis excluding VAT.
This is for the 2nd consecutive month that the steelmaker has rolled over the prices.
Meanwhile,Wuhan steel is also offering flat steel which is similar to previous price levels.The effective rates for HRC (Q235 5.5mm) are heard to be at RMB 4,830/MT (USD 727/MT),Q235 plates is at RMB 4,990/MT(USD 737/MT ),CRC (1.0mm, SPCC) is at RMB 5,820/MT (USD 876/MT). Whereas HDG coil (1.0mm,DX51D+Z) is at RMB 7,270/MT (USD 1094/MT). All prices are on ex-works basis excluding VAT.
